Barack Obama and Global Warming by Barry Jonathan Lough

Is anybody sure about the cause of global warming? One thing is certain. The answer to THAT question is NO.

A lot of people would say it is air pollution, and the newest president of the USA seems to think so. Can a new government save future generations from global catastrophe? A market for cleaner-burning fuels might help stop climate change and President Obama's administration could make this possible. So a number of environmental groups and lobbyist groups hope.

One such special interest group is known as Ceros. This coalition of environmental organizations and investors wishes for Obama to curtail global warming. They figure he could pass legislation to reduce green house gas emissions by 25% below 1990 levels before 2020, and they might be right.

One step in achieving this end is "honest accounting of financial risks that companies and investors face from climate change," according to Ceros. Another might be dispensing with a system of emissions credits to force this honest accounting instead of providing an avenue for deep-pocketed corporations from easily buying their way out of responsibility.
Who wouldn't want Barack Obama's government to take charge in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and rates of deforestation? Is this even the right person for the job? No one person can do it all, of course.

According to Obama, "The issue of climate change is one that we ignore at our own peril. There may still be disputes about exactly how much is naturally occurring, but what we can be scientifically certain of is that our continued use of fossil fuels is pushing us to a point of no return. And unless we free ourselves from a dependence on these fossil fuels and chart a new course on energy in this country, we are condemning future generations to global catastrophe."
This tells us that he has some regard for scientific research, and that he believes we CAN do something about global warming. Applying science correctly provides a good start to arriving at a solution. And scientists will play a big role in finding a solution, even if that solution is simply a "wait and see what happens".

A scientific approach includes taking off the blinders and thinking creatively to arrive at one or several solutions. Focussing on carbon in initiatives such as the National Low Carbon Fuel Standard, which is trying to find "clean" fuels instead of the ones we currently consume, takes the sights off other climate drivers and other greenhouse gases. Water vapour being chief amongst those.

Another example, please...
It has been said that the sun is the only source of global warming. A new energy economy proposed by Obama would rely on renewable energy such as solar and wind, both of which depend on sunlight. Other documents have said that extra sunspot activity can reduce cloud cover, resulting in a more heated planet/atmosphere system.

Furthermore, An Inconvenient Truth shows Al Gore putting carbon dioxide as the culprit as far as global warming is concerned. Anthropogenic carbon dioxide. But a credible theory of climate variations points to Milankovitch Cycles, where changes in earth-heating patterns occur in a recurring pattern.

Maybe Obama got in at the right time with his campaign promises and we will see improvements take place that would have happened without anybody's effort at all. Barack will certainly get the credit, though.

Why Build a Home Made Wind Generator? - To Help Save The Earth by Martin Loader

Many might think that building a home made wind generator is just a bit of a fun, and it's not really a serious undertaking. Many may think that it is probably just to complicated to even think about making one, but like the thought of having one.

Whatever the reason, it really is worth taking a serious look at making a home made wind generator. You can buy some ready made wind generators which although work very well, they can cost upwards of three thousand dollars.

There are some very good reasons therefore, to find yourself a proven design that costs only a few hundred dollars to make and get one set up on your property.

Apart from it being cost effective, the most important issue concerning humanity at this moment is the continuing onset of global warming. It will not go away unless we do something about it right now. We, as individuals, have to take responsibility and not leave it all for the governments to do. If we all had our own power sources, just think how much it would reduce the use of conventional power stations. It is almost incalculable in terms of the reduction of pumping greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.

Not only greenhouse gasses would be reduced. All of the other dangerous emissions would be reduced. Respiratory complaints are very high and they would be decreased dramatically. I would love a world where my children and everyone could breathe clean fresh air.

Wind energy is a great alternative power source because it is free, it is endless and it doesn't cost the earth. Literally speaking.

It's not a difficult project to get involved in. All of the items that you will need to make your home made wind generator can be purchased from your local hardware store. It's inexpensive and a lot of fun to make.

For goodness sake, don't waste the wind.

Getting Green to Assist Mother Earth, Solar Energy Facts by Steve Madigan

If you think that solar energy consists solely of those large panels that reflect off of homes, think again. With the assistance of this article, we will talk about some other solar energy facts.
Although it came to light, so to speak, in the 1960s, solar energy has progressed and can be used for everything from heating our houses to fueling our cars. Solar energy is free.

Our electricity bills get higher each and every year. We can take this solar power using Earth4Energys kit for a fraction of what it cost us for electricity. We hear that the environment is having troubles with global warming, green house gases, but solar power if we decide to use and commit in it, is positive for the environment. These are just some solar energy facts.
A long time ago, we considered people who used solar energy to heat their households pretty much as nuts. Now, they are the ones who are laughing Oil rises one day. We have experienced it as high as $150 a barrel. It has come down, but the price is still high. These fossil fuels are killing our world at the same time. But there are people out there that are employing Green Energy, solar and wind to help with there energy demands. They are the one's that are preserving money month after month.

When new buildings are starting up, in some cases they have some type of alternative energy source built in for saving money as well as thinking about not destroying our earth that we live in. Warming our households and water is only one use for solar and wind energy.

Solar and wind energy can be used for working our appliance's as well as some electronic devices that we use. How about a calculator? Now you can have lights in your yard work on stashed away solar power. No batteries necessary either to run some of these devices. So, why not use that same energy to power other gadgets as well?

Uniting the powers of wind with solar and you can really start to save. Heating our homes, running our automobile, operating electronic devices, appliances are just a couple things for solar energy purposes. Saving lives is another, such as cleaning water for people to drink, in some third world nations. As you can see there are numerous uses for solar and wind energy.

To keep solar and wind energy active and going forward, thought has to be given to the cost of producing this power. We also have to remember to consider the eco system as well. People wanting to save money utilizing solar and individuals who want to protect the environment are in agreement in this way. They both think that solar and wind energy can be an answer to a major problem moving into the next generation.

Now if you really want to save some money then solar and wind energy are the answers, click solar energy facts. This will help to reduce your electric power a bunch. Learn more by clicking on solar panels for homes.

Environmental Warfare: A Fine Mess We Made

We are seeing people getting sick and a lot of our surroundings dilapidating over the time. While we are surely living in an unbalanced world, nobody knows what is bound to happen next. We have put ourselves in this predicament. Only time will tell if we can still make a change for the better.

Global warming is an issue that we have created. It is an issue that we can work to resolve. The damage that is already done is irreversible, but we can make changes now to protect the earth's atmosphere in the future. If we reduce the amount of fuel that we burn, by making changes to our lifestyle, we can reduce the amount of damage that is done to the atmosphere.

Saving earth is everyone's responsibility. The damages done to the earth resources have to be slowed-down and eventually stop if we want our children and grand-children to enjoy a healthy outdoor life like we can.

The big polluters have been pointed and rules and regulations to diminish the toxic gas emissions have been put into place. Manufacturers are now targeted to ensure they lower their pollution production.

Although this is a small step in the right direction, more needs to be done to slow down and eventually stop the wastes of our natural resources. Such solutions as walking instead of taking the car for small travels are a good and healthy start. Other measures such as not letting the purified water run aimlessly or better isolation of a house to lower the fuel consumption to heat it are all small steps that have the power to make a difference in the long run.

Detractors love to remind us that global warming is not new - it has been happening for thousands of years - it happened before, when humans were not even around, and it will happen again. That does not change the fact that we are responsible for accelerating it this time, and we can undo the damage if we work hard enough. Recently, Time magazine deemed the rapid overall temperature increase to be an emergency condition. Action needs to be taken. Now!
There is much that we as individuals can do to stop global warming.

For one thing, we can stop global warming by conserving energy . How can you conserve energy? Just join the office car pool, walk or cycle instead of using your car for short journeys. Use public transport. Fit low energy light bulbs in every room. Turn off appliances when they are not in use, and turn the thermostat down one degree - you probably won't even notice it, but over time, that one degree difference will amount to a lot of energy saved. Just imagine this. What if every single person made changes like those? The result would be that the savings would be huge.

Another simple way to do your bit is to recycle - instead of letting rubbish end up in landfill sites, or, worse, be incinerated, if you recycle it you reduce waste, and save on the energy that would have been needed to produce whatever the product was from raw materials.

Also, using eco-friendly fuels and vehicles will help prevent global warming - at the moment some eco-friendly options are more expensive than standard fuel, but in the long run you will be saving immensely.

Your Role in Global Warming

Global warming is an issue that we have created. It is an issue that we can work to resolve. The damage that is already done is irreversible, but we can make changes now to protect the earth's atmosphere in the future. If we reduce the amount of fuel that we burn, by making changes to our lifestyle, we can reduce the amount of damage that is done to the atmosphere. Here, you will find what role you can take in order to reduce the effect of global warming on our world.

1) The first step that you can take in order to reduce the effect of global warming is to change all of your light bulbs from standard bulbs to energy efficient light bulbs. Energy efficient light bulbs are generally more expensive, but they will save you a considerable amount of money on your energy costs and will also reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that are released into the earth's atmosphere.

2) The next step that you can take to reduce the effect of global warming is to ensure that you turn things off when you are not using them. This helps to save on the amount of electricity that you use. When you save on electricity, you save money on your power costs and reduce the amount of fuel that is required to burn to give you electricity. This, in turn, helps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that are released into the atmosphere. You should also ensure that you turn off water when it is not being used to benefit the atmosphere.

3) It is important that you learn to recycle and reuse things when you are able to. You should make sure that you get actively involved in a local recycling program. When you recycle, you can reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that can add to the global warming issue.

4) It is important that you try to use the air conditioner and heater in your home less. You should use a thermostat when one is available to control the usage of these items. You should try to use fans more and less air conditioning. This will help to reduce the effect of global warming by limiting the amount of greenhouse gases that are released into the atmosphere.

5) You should try to encourage others to conserve energy. Inform them of the dangers of global warming and how greenhouse gases affect the atmosphere. You should let them know that everyone should hold themselves accountable for the energy that they consume, the amount that they drive, and the things that they do not recycle.

6) You should try to buy products that are considered energy efficient. Many appliances that are available now have an energy efficiency rating. You should make an effort to buy appliances that use less electricity in order to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that enter the earth's atmosphere.

These are just a few changes you can make in your everyday life which will contribute to lessening the amount of greenhouse gasses. By all of us working together, we can all have a positive effect on reducing the consequences of global warming.

George Bush Bill Clinton Devastated the Mexican Californian Beaches

George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush have been running the world’s only superpower for the past 20 years. George H. W. Bush called the world’s environmentalists “the spotted owl crowd”. He meant that the environmentalists were choosing to save the spotted owls to the detriment of human beings. Well now the chickens have come home to roost on their horizontal rods.

The prophet Isaiah said that the name of the Messiah would be Emanuel, the middle name of A-Rod, meaning God is with us. Hopefully the Messiah isn’t planning on doing much scuba diving or surfing off the Pacific Coast of Mexico, California or Hawaii because thanks to our political leaders for the past 20 years the Pacific Ocean has now become a gigantic, poisoned, deadly garbage dump of contaminated plastic being eaten by the fish on your childrens’ plate.

In a recent interview with Time Magazine Al Gore said, “When I was in the Snow and Ice Data Center receiving a full briefing on the polar ice caps, afterwards I would turn on my TV and there were two networks with the bulletin: Britney Spears loses custody of her children. We’re living in a madhouse if our priorities focus on the embalming of Anna Nicole Smith, or the trial of O.J. Simpson, while we ignore the greatest crisis this nation has ever faced.”

The definition of insanity is when a person is a danger to themselves or others because they do not understand the nature and consequences of their actions. In 1998 under intense pressure from their main sponsors the big oil companies, Bill and Hillary Clinton refused to ratify the Kyoto Protocol. Now the U.S., the world’s largest polluter, under the leadership of George Bush has gutted the Bali Climate Change Agreement of all substance. Hillary Clinton just loaned $5M dollars to her campaign. This money came from the $10 Million dollars per year being payed by the Emir of Dubai to Bill Clinton for doing absolutely nothing. The leaders of Saudi Arabia gave $10 million to the Bill Clinton Presidential Library and hundreds of millions to the Bush family.

In return for the money, the Bush and Clinton families have agreed to allow Saudi Arabia and Dubai to buy America’s banks, (Hillary O.K.’d this in the Nevada debate), part of Daimler Chrysler, large stakes in America’s corporations, America’s ports, (remember Bush and Cheney pushing for the Dubai ports deal?), and the Bush and Clinton families have agreed to kill any world environment treaties like Kyoto and Bali which would hamper the Saudi and Persian Gulf States’ exporting of 10 million barrels per day at $100 per barrel, a billion dollars every day. How did Saudi Arabia and Dubai buy the Bush and Clinton families so cheaply? Did they buy them at Wal Mart?

Pope Benedict XVI is a champion of the environmental movement and has urged all Catholics to become environmentalists. The Catholic Church has taken a firm stance against global warming. Pope Benedict XVI has warned against the seductive nature of science. Our own experience has been that Bill Clinton has repeatedly demonstrated an inability to resist temptation. God the Father carved in stone, “Don’t Murder, or else I will punish you, your children, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren.” Don’t Murder means don’t murder people or poison to death the parts people are made of, air, water and earth.

If you put a frog in water and then gradually raise the temperature the frog will boil to death. If you throw a frog into boiling water it will get very hot and jump out. Plastic is made from oil. The great Pacific Ocean Plastic Garbage Dump, the Pacific Ocean Plastic Soup, now stretches from 500 miles off the California coast, past Hawaii almost to Japan. It is twice the size of the United States. Curtis Ebbesmeyer, an oceanographer says that when the plastic soup comes near land, as it does at the Hawaiian archipelago, the gargbage patch vomits, and you get a beach covered with this plastic.

Charles Moore, an oil heir, sold his business, and became an oceanographer. Charles Moore said this week that on our present course the Pacific Plastic Stew will double in size over the next 10 years. Our experience shows us that if Hillary Clinton, a puppet of the oil executives, bought and paid for by the oil barons, becomes President, then when she leaves office, the entire Pacific Ocean and its beaches will be a deadly plastic garbage dump. The end of tourism will be the least of our worries.

Professor David Karl, an oceanographer at the University of Hawaii says that the plastic is not biodegrading, and modern plastic is so durable that 50 year old plastic is in the soup. Tony Andrady, a chemist with the U.S. based Research Triangle Institute says that “Every little piece of plastic manufactured in the past 50 years that made it into the ocean is still out there.” The Pacific Ocean now has billions of tiny plastic pellets, nurdles, which combine with man made poison petrochemicals, the toxic pesticide DDT, which are eaten by the fish on your child’s dinner plate.

White females over 50 and Latinos are handing Hillary Clinton the Presidency because they trust the bought off by the oil executives, corrupt, lying Clintons who got us all into this mess. White females over 50 and Latinos say that Bill and Hillary Clinton have more experience than Barack Obama, as if the number of years in politics means wisdom, and sound judgment. Look at your child’s globe. In fact the Earth only has one ocean. People think that times were good under the Clintons, in the time that the world was turning into a poisonous greenhouse and the ocean was turning into a deadly plastic garbage dump.

The Bush Clinton American Royal family for the past 20 years tried to sweep this all under the rug. George Bush had Philip Cooney of Exxon Mobil change scientific research to say that there was no human made global warming, and Republicans have been duped into believing this. Now the kaka has hit the fan. The toxic plastic and poison chemicals are now contaminating the American rivers and lakes too. Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American civil rights activist. Which right is more important than the right to poison free air, soil, water and food? Which Democratic Presidential candidate voted to waste American lives and money in Iraq as her Saudi Arabian and Persian Gulf benefactors lined her pockets with gold for the right to poison your children to death?

The Clinton and Bush families are the canidates of change. They have changed the Garden of Eden into a toxic wasteland.

Rudy Giuliani to drill hole in sky to let out Greenhouse Gases

Most people cannot understand the concept of greenhouse gases because when a human being looks at the moon and the sun and the stars the earth’s sky has no ceiling. Sealing wax is a combination of resin and turpentine used for sealing letters and dry cells. It is hard at normal temperatures but softens when heated. Since the earth has no ceiling people reason that smokestack gases and car exhaust fumes just fly off into the infinite and vast expanse of outer space and so what’s the problem? Yesterday at a Town Hall meeting in Waterloo, Iowa, Republican Presidential Candidate Rudy Giuliani set the record straight on global warming and introduced a brilliant and revolutionary solution to save life on earth in his first term in office. Here is what Rudy Giuliani said to the people of Waterloo, Iowa, yesterday:

Rudy Giuliani: “9/11, 9/11. What a hit job. They tried to do to me what they did to Sonny Corleone. This has taken a huge toll on my new mistress, according to her security detail. The NYPD is spending so much money protecting people connected to me now that my campaign contributors are asking for protection. I told them, ‘There are no money back guarantees and I told you that going in. This whole security thing is much ado about nothing, just like global warming. In actuality the earth’s sky does have a ceiling but you cannot see it when standing on the earth’s surface. You can only see it when you look at the earth’s blue sky from the international space station and then you can see where the earth’s ceiling meets the black sky of cold space. That is the ceiling of the earth’s blue sky. In my first term in office I intend to send couple construction guys up to the international space station to drill a hole in the ceiling of the earth’s sky to let the greenhouse gases escape. Budda Bing Budda Bang forget about it.”

At that point Mrs. Mildred R. Crabsnapple of Spirit Lake, Iowa asked Rudy Giuliani, “Mayor Giuliani, According to Henry M. Paulson Jr., the Secretary of the U.S. Treaury Department, our $10 trillion debt is like a ticking time bomb about to blow our economy into the dirt permanently, and there will be no money for social security, health care or education. How do you plan to solve that problem?”

Rudy Giuliani replied, “Hi Mildred it’s great to see you. How’s your daughter Donna doing? Security O.K.? Social Security. I have a holistic plan. By conquering Iraq and Iran by whatever means it takes, I will add $60 trillion dollars to our coffers immediately, end Islamic Terrorism, bring peace and democracy to the Middle East, cover the cost of sky drilling equipment, and reimburse the NYPD and the Secret Service for my past and future indiscretions. You happy now Mildred?”

Mildred R. Crabsnapple: “Mayor Giuliani. Russia and China helped tiny North Vietnam defeat the United States. Russia and China have now formed a strategic military alliance together and with Iran. Russia and China just played war games together. Russia has built Iran a nuclear reactor in Bushehr, Iran and is now delivering the nuclear fuel to Iran. Vladimir Putin has warned the Russian people that the U.S. is coming to conquer Russia and steal their oil. Vladimir Putin also warned the United States that President Bush has created a new Cuban Missile Crisis by stationing American missiles in Poland, the Czech Republic and Taiwan. How do you plan on defeating the combined forces of Russia, China, Iraq and Iran in order to conquer the Middle East oil?”

Rudy Giuliani: “Mildred I’d love to tell you but it’s a matter of security.”

Mildred R. Crabsnapple: “Mayor Giuliani don’t give me that evasive politician security double speak. I asked you a serious question. How do you intend to defeat Russia, China, Iraq and Iran in order to conquer the Middle East oil?”

Rudy Giuliani: “Mildred, that question has been asked and answered. I would suggest that you sit down now. Do you understand the meaning of the word ‘taser’? Now don’t make me get rough with you Mildred. You won’t be the first grandmother I’ve tased. Any more questions?”

At this point Mildred R. Crabsnapple was gently escorted from the Hall by Mayor Giuiani’s security detail. Rudy Giuliani then gently escorted his wife Judy from the Hall, to the chants of “Rudy, Rudy, Rudy”.
